By David Sanchez This year the Hubbard Soccer team had four pairs of sibling on the team. We caught up with them to ask what their experiences were like playing their final season with their younger brothers on the same field. ![]() Jose & Juan Garcia Jose Garcia, Senior, and his younger brother Juan Garcia, Freshman, both played for Hubbard's Soccer team. They both played for Varsity and enjoyed playing for Hubbard. They both got along with all their teammates and worked really well together. Jose will soon have a new journey coming ahead while Juan's story continues because he has three more years before he graduates. Both their stories will continue as they will follow their dreams. ![]() Ricardo & Oscar Ibarra Ricardo Ibarra, Senior, and his younger brother Oscar Ibarra, Sophomore, are two great soccer players and they both have been playing for Hubbard J.V for two years. This year, however, Ricardo played for Hubbard Varsity. Oscar and his teammates on JV won City Regional this year and beat Kelly High School 3-1. Oscar was a star in the team who often passed the ball to his teammates. Ricardo moved from J.V to Varsity after playing alongside his brother for two years. He taught his little brother as much as he could so he can get ready for Varsity. Both brothers have a new start in soccer. ![]() Oscar & Daniel Corona Oscar Corona, Senior, and his younger brother Daniel Corona, Freshman, are both great soccer players. They both played for J.V last year and even though they were separated this season, they were still great. Daniel is a great player because he keeps his position and he guides his teammates. Oscar played for Hubbard Varsity this season and commented that it was a little awkward without playing with his brother on the same team. Juan and J.V. won the City Champs.
